Foreign Office telegram No. 1078 to me. belor.

Parliamentary Delegation to China.

Party consisting of Lord Ammon, Messrs Macleavy, Harrison and Lindsay will leave Hong Kong by 19F service on 9th November for Singapore and from Singapore by 14F Service on 15th Novembur for [grp. un oc. ? United Kingdon].

2. Messrs Macleavy and Harrison have abandoned idea of sea voyage and will continue direct to United Kingdom with Lord Ammon.

3. Mr. Lindsay on arrival in Rangoon on 13th November wishes to break journey as follows leave Rangoon for Calcutta 15th November leave for Karachi 18th November leave for Bahrein 20th November leave for Cairo 21st November leave Cairo for United Kingdom 23rd November.

4. Lord Amulree and Mr. Roberts wish to postpone departure from Hong Kong and leave by BOAC service after service 19F as far as Calcutta whence they wish to fly to Delhi before returning direct to United Kingdom. Lord Amulree does not (repeat not) now wish to break his journey in Cairo.

Foreign Office only. Please telegraph date of departure of next service after 9th and book passages as in paragraph 4 above so date of arrival in Calcutta so that we can ask High Commissioner in New Delhi to make onward bookings.

Foreign Office and Singapore only. Please confirm bookings for Lord Ammon, Mr. Macleavy and Mr. Harrison as in paragraph 1 above to United Kingdom and for Mr. Lindsay as far as Rangoon. Can you arrange onward booking: from Rangoon to Calcutta for Lindsay on 15th November?

also inform Governor Singapore and Governor General Malaya of change of plan in paragraph 2.
